"There are little video of this weird synth. Dry Yamaha tq-5 sound, no effects, sequenced in ableton. Bit out of sync^^"
via this auction
Update: Note the date and time! It would be cool if it were a programmable sound, alarm clock too!
"It is cool, rare 4-op FM module. Nice 90`s weird design. It is one of user friendly FM synth, it is easy to edit from panel. It is like advanced Yamaha TX81Z build in the desktop case. There a lot of hidden possibilitties that can access through software such as MidiQuest, don`t let you fool with manual, there are really some cool things that you can not access without software. Nice sequencer, it has 8 tracks, and you can make every track multitembrial or record instrument switch, so you can write whole song with built in sequencer, also it remembers automation..."

Synovatron Module Ideas
via Tone's
Top: "A sister module for the CVGT1
This is another idea I've been progressing which will complement the CVGT1 and is intended for non pitch critical CVs and audio level translation."
Bottom: "ModuleModule CV and gate/trigger translator
This is just a quick post to show what I have been doing with regard to the ModuleModule design I mentioned in my last blog post. More info will unfold over the next weeks but this is just to let several Muffwigglers know that I am progressing their ideas."
YAMAHA CS-5 Analog Synthesizer 1978 | HD DEMO

"(c) 2013 by AnalogAudio1
The YAMAHA CS-5 came out 1978. It is a monophonic synthesizer equipped with 1 VCO, 1 multimode resonant filter (highpass, lowpass, bandpass), 1 LFO, 1 noise generator, 1 envelope. It also has an external signal input. This is great for processing signals - a bit like Korg MS-20. The LFO is very fast. It has CV and trigger inputs/outputs.
The CS-5 has the S&H waveform in the LFO, which the CS-10 does not have. This is very important to produce great FX sounds! On the other hand the CS-5 has only 1 envelope.
A nice little synth with some great sounds!
I played the CS-5 along with a Roland DEP-5 (delay) and a Lexicon MPX-500 (reverb)."

Korg All Access: Andrew Innes of Primal Scream and the MS-20 mini Analogue Synthesizer

"Korg met up with Andrew Innes of Primal Scream at the band's London studio to talk about his new Korg MS-20 mini, an analogue synthesizer featuring the original circuitry from 1978.
The same engineers who developed the original MS-20 have perfectly reproduced its circuitry and fit into a body that's been shrunk to 86% of the original size, yet retains the distinctive look of the original.
Perfect for Primal Scream, Andrew says:
"It's got an atmosphere to it straight away. Whether it's happy , sad or threatening. It seems to be really good at threatening!"
"The glorious thing about this synthesizer is that every button you hit makes it better "
For more info on the band go to http://www.primalscream.net/

Synth.nl Apollo Documentary by Thomas de Rijk (2010)

"In 2010 I was contacted by Thomas de Rijk who was studying at that time at the Willem de Kooning Film Academy in Rotterdam. He asked if I wanted to cooperate in a documentary for his school project. And of course I agreed. He made this very cool documentary about my burn-out and how I got into producing my own music. I think he did a great job! The documentary is in the Dutch language, but it has English subtitles. I hope you enjoy it. I has some nice NASA HD footage (courtesy NASA) and also some nice shot from my Apollo Studio. It took a while before it ended up online, but here it is:) The music you hear is coming from my Apollo album. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks a lot Thomas!"
