Octave-Plateau CATStick modulating Roland Jupiter 4's Filter
Published on Sep 14, 2013 zibbybone·126 videos
"Just received this Catstick and have the X+Y CV out running into the JP-4's filter input. The X+ adds LFO #1 (set as triangle wave) and X- adds LFO #2 (originally set as square wave, but I switch it up near the end). Y+ raises the filter cut-off and Y- lowers the filter cut-off. I've got the TR-707 triggering the JP's arpeggiator so I can tweak the CATStick. The JP-4's audio is running through the Eventide Space and the TR-707 is running through the Boss TE-2 Tera Echo pedal, but I have the effect level turned down quite a bit because its effect can get pretty wild and pronounced.
I'll try to upload more videos of the Cat Stick as I learn more about it.
Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe to be notified of future videos of electronic instrument demos and such!"

Audio Damage Goes Modular with Three New Eurorack Modules
The ADM01 DUB JR
Audio Damage known for their software based instruments & effects has announce three new eurororack modules.
"The adm01 dubjr is a voltage-controlled eurorack delay module with the following features:
time controls the analog-style delay that goes from 5ms to 1 second.
regen controls the feedback of the delay. at full feedback, dubjr self-oscillates.
mix control crossfades from dry to wet.
cv control of all parameters.
8hp panel size.
skiff-friendly 20mm depth.
60ma current draw."
The ADM03 ERRORBOX
"The adm03 errorbox is a voltage-controlled eurorack signal reduction module with the following features:
srr controls the sample rate of the signal, from 48khz to 50hz.
brr controls the bit depth of the signal, from 16 bits to 1 bit.
err is our proprietary intentional error algorithm.
cv control of all parameters.
8hp panel size.
skiff-friendly 20mm depth.
60ma current draw."
The ADM02 GRAINSHIFT
"The adm02 grainshift is a voltage-controlled eurorack granulation module with the following features:
granular effect for real-time pitch-shifting and chaotic grain effects.
pitch shift goes from -1 octave to +1 octave.
chaos control for randomizing grains.
size control changes the interval and duration of the grains.
cv control of all parameters.
8hp panel size.
skiff-friendly 20mm depth.
90ma current draw."

An Interview with Joel Chadabe on Astronauta Pinguim
via Astronauta Pinguim where you'll find the full interview.
"Joel Chadabe, native of New York, studied with Elliott Carter at the Yale School of Music. Following three years in Europe, he returned to New York and established an electronic music studio at the State University of New York at Albany.
In 1967, he created the design for an analog-programmable Moog synthesizer and commissioned Robert Moog to build it. In 1977, Joel Chadabe and Roger Meyers developed the PLAY Program, the first software music sequencer. From 1983 to 1994, Joel Chadabe was the president of Intelligent Music, the first company to develop and distribute software and hardware for interactive composing, In 1994, he founded Electronic Music Foundation (EMF), a non-profit organization dedicated to the history and creative potential of electronic music. In 2006, he founded Ear To The Earth, a worldwide network for environmental sound..."

"Ultra rare synthesizer! I don't believe very many of these were produced, let alone sold in America. The DS-202 is an early digital keyboard (somewhere in the early 80s) that has some pretty standard keyboard, organ, and electric piano sounds. The DS-310 module (which also works with other Seiko keyboards, such as the 101 and 250) is a really interesting additive synth add-on that has a LCD display to edit different parameters. Really great for pads and glassy leads!.."
