Sarabande on Prophet '08 and MS-20 mini Synthesizers (Bach French Suite BWV 813, № 2)

"The Sarabande from J. S. Bach's second French Suite (BWV 813, № 2) played on the DSI Prophet '08 and Korg MS-20 mini analog synthesizers.

To play comfortably I connected the Prophet via MIDI to the MS-20 and turned local control off, using another keyboard (my DX-7 II's) to play the Prophet. So the top keyboard plays the MS-20 and the bottom one the Prophet '08.

Usual effects provided by the Maxon AD-900 analog delay (only on MS-20) and the Lexicon MX-300 (reverberation for both instruments).

Everything played live as you see it here; plain recording straight from my mixer/interface into Logic as 96kHz / 24 bit audio.

"A cover of the first minute of one of my very favourite songs using the KORG Volca Beats and MS-20 mini, as well as the DSI Prophet '08.

Effects used: Maxon analog delay, Lexicon reverb and just a touch of EQ on the Prophet. Direct live recording from the mixer's main out; no further manipulation except for fading out."

Short but definitely well done.

"A Laser Harp patch on the DSI Prophet '08, used to play the first part of Jean Michel Jarre's Third Rendez-vous.

No effects aside from Lexicon MX-300 reverberation, recorded directly from the mixer's 24-bit interface into Logic."

"The Korg Micro Preset synthesizer is a late 1970s synth with a unique matrix of pre-set sounds, including woodwind, banjo, bagpipe, steam locomotive and others and a keyboard all housed in a wooden box!
It's a 32-note monophonic preset synthesizer with 6 push-button presets including voice, synth1, synth2, brass, string, and wood. Its single-oscillator design has rudimentary decay/release envelope controls.

It comes with 14 preset overlays, a cover and music stand. The power supply is hard-wired in and provides power. I have tested it and all works fine..."
