Thingamagoop 3000 Update From Bleep Labs

via Bleep Labs

"The stickers and PCB are almost ready! Just need to order one last test of each and it’ll be off to assembly.

The last revision of the board works and sounds great but the controls need to be moved around slightly so we need to do one more prototype.
The stickers have been a surprising amount of trouble but after 6 proofs we’ve finally got the colors we’ve been after.

By the end of the month we’ll have the final images online so you can pick your color combos!

This shouldn’t put us too far behind the original schedule as most of the work is machining enclosures in house and that can begin next week."

"Happy new year all ! :)

Well, thing is... i tried to record this track like 5 times.. i got cracks and buzzes and timing issues, and it just got later and later and all of a sudden i was a bit buzzy (due to the beer). So what you hear is the 6th take... all the other takes suck (big time) so not publishing them.. also im going to need a new mixer, because recording a track several times and not being able to use it really sucks.

However, inspiration for this track comes from an email i received from a stranger... who i hope is getting better now. BoooM-tchakK to you my friend !

As always, no computers and stuff, all is recorded live straight into 2-track. I hope you can enjoy it !

Slow Light Theory

Published on Jan 15, 2016 S. B. Arweiler

"Ambient eurorack jam

The main chord is a sample played by the MusicThing RadioMusic (a single guitar string that was sent through the EHX POG 2 pedal). This sample is sent through the Erbe-Verb with modulation of the size parameter through a sequence playing on Brains/Pressure Points.

MakeNoise STO receives FM modulation from the TipTop Z3000, attenuated by Intellijel uVCA II which is opened by a Intellijel Quadra LFO. René X and Y gates trigger Quadra envelopes for STO and Mutable Instruments Braids, QCV goes to STO 1V/oct, CV goes to Braids 1V/oct. STO is sent through Mutable Instruments Clouds.

Some manual triggering of the Basimilus Iteratis via Pressure Points.

All clocks are provided by TipTop Circadian Rhythms. Evaton Technologies RF Nomad provides some noisy shortwave radio at the end which is modulated by a fast Maths LFO."

"The Moog Mother-32 is a semi-modular analog synthesizer that can function on its own or within a larger Eurorack modular system. Mother-32 combines classic Moog analog sound with sequencing and extensive interconnectivity. 32 modular patch points offer complex synthesis options and connection to external modules.

In this video we offer an in-depth look at what you'll need to start building a eurorack modular rig around the Mother-32. We also have an extensive tutorial on how to use Mother-32's built-in step sequencer and a look at some of the MIDI-to-CV conversion tricks Mother-32 can do via its assignable CV output."
