Yamaha MODX SUPER FAT 80's Sound
Published on Jan 19, 2019 synthartist69
"Here is a patch that I have been constantly modifying to get that HUGE 80's Synth Brass sound.. This is an original composition, kind of reminds me of an 80's detective or car chase scene. I am sure it will continue to evolve as I get more familiar with the MODX.. For drums I used the Roland TR707. Thanks for watching!"

"I bought this cat, from the original builder, David Frederick Sr. You can tell its never left his personal studio....
This Cat has been completely renovated electronically and cosmetically by David himself. Looks, sounds and performs like brand new from the factory. Really really great condition.
Comes with record & some patch/history papers.
This synth is a beast and should be considered as a super ARP Odyessy. I own two of them. This one and a Cat SRM which I am keeping. This also comes with the original Evatone Demo Record for those interested in such things."

Folktek Synergist

via this auction
"The Synergist is a touch synth built into a custom hardwood box with an intentionally aged touchplate. Designed with 8 osc. and an 8 note polyphony and noise and time points - each osc. is tuned in correspondence to one another to create a full body of notes. The oscillators tie into a delay, the timing of which controls the global pitch of the oscillation (when the time on the delay is lowered or raised, the frequency of all 8 oscillators are lowered or raised accordingly). The delay ranges from extremely tight to a longer approx.2 seconds (getting gradually dirty and grimier toward the lower end)
The oscillators can be feedback driven to create decay and the level of all touch points can be lowered or raised to either overload the delay completely or create more subtle background drone. This all helps to mix the level with any incoming sound as the an input signal can be sent into the 1/4" in jack allowing for processing of external sources. The selector switch switches between a variety of clean feedback and altered feedback (altered feedback being a more compressed droning sound)
The result is a piece capable of drone or synth lines, very nasty noise and dub massacre. The layout of the touch plate is designed to make it easily playable in a percussive manner. It's also laid out so that metal pieces (coins work well) can be placed between points to actsas switches for drone or connect points to alter the delay signal.
The synergist is similar to several older works. Dueto the nature of the piece and the exposed copper touch plate, the oscillators will lightly self oscillate creating background noise - this is unavoidable. Best for drone and noise work.
1/4" in, 1/4" out. runs on 9v power with standard size jack and ratings."

Hartmann Neuron Rare Synthesizer

"The German-made Hartmann Neuron was a polyphonic synthesizer that attempted to break new ground using a new form of synthesis and sound-modeling they say was based on technology found in neural networks. What the Neuron actually does is it analyzes audio files (samples) and creates digital computer models of these sounds which can then be re-synthesized and processed using the extensive amount of on-board data-wheels and joysticks with control of more 'musical' sonic aspects such as instrument shape, size and acoustic behavior. The joysticks allow for real-time tweaking of up to three parameters at once - 3D modeling in a true 5.1 surround sound environment.Comes with original manual, power cord and extra orange joystick knobs.”

"This one was recorded during this session [below] and uploaded but unpublished.
I wanted to hear the bass sound again of the Minimoog. The low keys are extremely hard but also it's obvious I'm not a keyboard player! Means I'm here only focusing on the sound itself. Raw, direct out, no effect added."

Raw sound, direct out, no effect added."
