E-MU Systems Emax II 'Turbo' w/8Mb RAM and SCSI Drive SN 069200905

"This Emax II is essentially a 'Turbo' model, but the extra RAM and Hard Drive were added after the fact. It's for sale by the original owner and includes -
• Original user manual
• Computer Transfer cable
• Power cord
• Spare SCSI hard drive
• Original box.
The internal SCSI drive contains most, if not all of the original banks, plus some I created from sample CDs and my own recording. (I couldn't find the original discs for the unit, and it's possible that I discarded them, but if I find them, I'll enclose them.)
This unit has had a fair amount of use in the past, but has been sitting in a rack for quite a while. It was only moved once when I changed residences. It has been tested to load samples and play them back via MIDI.
This unit is very close to Mint condition, in my opinion, and you would have to look very long and hard to find another one with these specs and in this condition."

PHYSICAL CONDITION: Excellent - The stand is sturdy and holds all 4 triggers securely. The sound modal's side wood panels have a few dings and scratches, but its face plate is super clean. The previous owner put "Sweet Wheats" stickers on the bottom of each trigger and on the road case. The controls and connections are all in great shape, overall, it's in excellent condition.
WORKING CONDITION: Excellent - All drum pads are working great, the main unit is also in perfect working order. All toggle switches, control knobs, and sliders are working great. Pedal and footswitch are also in perfect working order. Overall working condition is excellent."

"In the beginning of the 80's Kawai began manufacturing synthesizers under the company name of Teisco. The Synthesizer 110F is an upgraded S60-F, with dual analog VCO's and an updated look. It has a small but usable 37 note keyboard. Classic analog sawtooth, square, and triangle waveforms plus noise are on-board and can be mixed with external sounds run through the 110F's filters and envelopes. The oscillators can be de-tuned for duophonic textures or phatter leads and bass sounds.
There's plenty of modulation ability and classic analog effects in the 110F to really liven up the sound. There's an LFO which can modulate the VCO and VCF and can trigger the EGs. The VCF resonant low pass filter is great too. There's also a VCA section with Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release controls and finally there's a Hi-Pass filter. There is also a portamento effect, a ring modulator, vibrato and sample-and-hold for those classic analog synth effects and tricks! Lots of pretty blinking lights, a sleek and straight-forward layout and very nice analog bass, lead and synth sounds are all a part of the Synthesizer 110F experience."

"My Jupiter still has just 4 voices and since I have the 4 voice Roland JP-08 Virtual Jupiter-8, I decided to hook these together to see how a 8 voice (16 Oscillators) synth would sound in Jupiter 8's DUAL MODE.
There are some slight clipping on the recording because the synth got so thick :D You can also hear that the living VCO's are bit unstable when compaired to perfectly tuned Virtual Analog models but I love how the real Analog VCO's sound with the Virtual Analog VCO's."
