"This is an original 1971 Moog Musonics Sonic 5 synthesizer. There were only 100 of these wooden Sonic Vs made; this is #18 of that 100. (It is the rare predecessor to the Sonic 6, which was made from 1972 on. ) It is in good working shape but could use some cleaning of switches and key contacts. it has a crazy range of modulation options, making it more like a modular synthesizer than the Minimoog"

"An extremely rare and fattest soviet synthesizer. It has a 3-octave keyboard, a modulation wheel, control knobs and regulators. The process of synthesis is performed with the 2 OSCs, 1 sub oscillator, noise generator, filter with ADSR, LFO, and wide range of modulation functions. The synthesizer plays a stable keyboard pitch thanks to quartz stabilization of oscillators. Midi (in/thru) installed.

Fully operational. Professional maintenance service was performed - recapped, lubricated, fixed and tuned. Cosmetic condition is very good."

The output volume is quite low and the gain was turned up on my Mackie mixer, flat EQ and no FX. The output is mono but there is the option to have the mono synth out of one jack and the poly sounds out of another."
