"Introducing the Oberheim Matrix-1000. Instant push-button access to 1,000 of the world's richest sounds.

Lush. Thick. Rich. Full. And even the highest compliment: Fat.

For more than a decade, these are the words that musicians have used to describe the uniquely satisfying quality of Oberheim sounds. Now, the very best of these sounds—1,000 professional patches gathered from all over the world-are all on-board and ready to go in the new Matrix-1000 six voice synthesizer.

You simply punch a number from 0 to 999. Instantly select from 800 permanent sounds, plus 200 in RAM that you can edit or replace through MIDI.

With no cartridges, disks, or cassettes to slow you down, you've never had so many sounds in so little time. Or in so little space. Because the Matrix-1000 is packed into a single rock space. Amazingly small, like its price: $595.

Nothing adds more warmth to your digital synthesizers, or more depth to your sampled sounds. With the richness that only Matrix Modulation con provide, and without the noise of digital.

So now that the ultimate collection of famous Oberheim analog sounds is also the ultimate convenience, you can add a thousand new dimensions to your MIDI set-up in no time at oll.

In fact, in less time than it takes to read the names of all the Matrix-1000's on-board patches, you could be down at-your Oberheim dealer hearing them."

Memorymoog Factory Presets Recreated for Moog Muse (Free Download)

video upload by Moog Music

"100 Memorymoog factory presets, now reimagined for Muse. https://www.moogmusic.com/the-wave/ne...

Recreated by Eric Frampton, a lifelong Memorymoog owner who has maintained and performed on the instrument for over 35 years, this collection faithfully rebuilds the entire Memorymoog factory library inside Moog Muse. In this video, hear side-by-side comparisons and explore how these classic sounds translate to Muse’s modern workflow and performance controls.

Using Muse’s modern architecture, each sound goes beyond the original with velocity, aftertouch, macro controls, effects, and expanded modulation, while preserving the three-oscillator polyphonic character that made the Memorymoog legendary.

From Moog’s first true 3-oscillator polyphonic synthesizer in 1982 to today’s 8-voice analog flagship, this preset pack bridges past and present in one playable library."

Get the TR909 upfront presences from the TR1000 ... or anything else for that matter!

"How Close Is Close Enough? Is the TR-1000 really a TR-909 replacement… or is that missing the point entirely?

In this deep-dive comparison, I also put the Roland TR-1000 head-to-head with my original Roland TR-909 to see how close we can actually get — and more importantly, where the differences really matter.

Roland are clear: this isn’t meant to be a clone. But with TR-909-style analogue circuits, 808-inspired elements, and ACB models under the hood, it begs the question… can you sell your 909 and fund a TR-1000 instead?

After putting these 2 together I realised the biggest tonal difference isn’t to get that live 909 vibe is the main outputs. The TR-909’s main outs are band-limited, with less low-end and a high-frequency tilt that creates that bright, exciting presence. Using Logic’s Match EQ, I recreate that curve so you can apply it to:

Why One Rhythm Is Never Enough — Inside Polyrhythm | Sound Mechanic 02

video upload by _marcozoppi

"| Sound Mechanics of Rhythm |
What happens when time stops agreeing with itself?
In this video, I explore polyrhythm inside a modular system.

This started as an exploration of external gear in Eurorack.
But it quickly became something else.

Because modular isn’t a closed system.
There is no real “outside.”

Everything that interacts with it—machines, signals, even us—becomes part of the same structure.

From that perspective, polyrhythm is not just a technique.
It’s what happens when multiple divisions of time coexist… without agreeing.

DSI Tempest - Why Did I Buy This Thing...

video upload by Noir Et Blanc Vie - After Hours

"I’m going to keep just making grooves on my groove box lol. I think this is why I’m not really considered part of “gear tube” I keep with the stuff I’ve been using forever and ever. I do like gear peeps, don’t get me wrong, but I think you’d be better off just diving heavily into two instruments. Call them “instruments” too. When you call them “gear” it removes the fact that you’re 'playing' something. Give the instruments their creative intention back lol. Dave Smith Tempest is still the best. Groovebox lord."
