"ARP 2500 'The ARP electronic music synthesizer' 8 page colour brochure and mail-in insert from approximately 1970/71.

Oooooh boy! Here's a doozy. Such a doozy that this post got rather long-winded. My apologies in advance.

'What? What's so 'doozy' about this?!?!', I hear you say... 'I've seen this brochure on tons of sites! BORING!!!!!'

Well, yes. But no.

Take a closer look at that front page. That's not ARP's treble clef logo! And the company name and address is listed as... 'Tonus Inc. 45 Kenneth Street, Newton Highlands, Massachusetts. 02162'"

Note this one is slightly different than the one from 1974 here. This appears to be the first time this particular version has been posted here on MATRIXSYNTH. These posts may not seem that special to some, but these are fascinating bits of synthesizer history that many have never seen before.

"Polyfusion Modular Synthesizer brochure, original and vintage in very good condition. Its a 4 page brochure that covers the Polyfusion Series 2000 Synthesizer. Has a few slight wrinkles (see pic), no punch holes, no writing. The Polyfusion Modular Synthesizer is one of the great legendary modular synthesizers from the golden age of electronic music. Up there with the Moog Modular, Arp 2500 Modular, EMU Modular, Buchla, Serge, Roland System 700, EMS Synthi 100 and other legends. Will be shipping in large bubble padded mailer with stiff cardboard."

"The brochure is 8.5 inches by 11 inches. It includes accolades from these artists: Hugo Montenegro, Gerald Shapiro, Milton Babbitt, Roger Powell, Pete Townshend, and Robert Morris. It describes the 2500 as “The Concert Grand of Synthesizers. Page four and five lists prices for function modules, keyboards, and cabinets. Page six shows 6 sample systems. Page seven lists those systems and gives the prices for those systems from $7,180 - $19,820. Page eight shows 3 other synthesizers and their prices. There are 8 pages counting the front and back covers."
