Thomas Synti 1055 (Moog Satellite Made in Italy) thru Dedalus Delay on Ipad2

video upload by VSMI - Vintage Synths Made in Italy

"The Synti 1055 was designed as an improvement to the Satellite, which Thomas Organ Company aquired the rights to manufacture in 1973
The Synti 1055, like the Satellite, is an analog preset monosynth with a 3 1/2 octave, 44-note (F-C) keyboard (7 more notes than the Satellite). The major difference between the Synti 1055 and the Moog keyboards is that the preset tabs are above the keyboard instead of below. To the left of the keyboard there are 7 sliders for modifying a preset, including filter modulation, cutoff frequency, and resonance.

Embark on a musical journey with the Thomas Synti 1055, a rare analog synthesizer. Crafted in 1973, this gem has the same internal boards as the Moog Satellite. Uniquely, the Thomas Organ Company acquired the Satellite rights in 1973, birthing the enhanced Synti 1055. It features a keybed with 7 more keys than the Satellite, allowing for deeper bass Sounds.

This rare analog synth is in good condition for its age and definitely will make a great addition to your collection."

"Synti 1055 by Thomas Organ Company.

Synth is in perfect working condition,

When it comes to appearance, it has scratches on the housing, which can be seen in the photos. There are also two slider overlays missing. In the piano button, in the preset section, the red color does not disappear when the preset is turned off (see photo 3).

The video in the attached you tube [video] presents the described instrument."

"Incredibly rare Thomas Synti 1055 Monophonic Analogue Synthesizer. For those that don't know, this is basically an improved version of the Moog Satellite. The Thomas Organ Company acquired the rights from Moog for the Satellite in 1973 and this was the result - it uses the same internal boards as the original Moog version. Thomas moved the position of the paddle switches, and lengthened the keyboard - which meant deeper bass.

I have to say this is by far one of the best sounding vintage analogue synths that i've ever owned. It can sound really creamy and fluid, but also really edgy and fractured when you engage both modulation and emphasis. It's very playable AND very useable.

This is a definite rarity so you are unlikely to see another one for sale anytime soon, if at all. It has been fully serviced by my regular tech for sale, so you can bid and buy in confidence that you are getting your hands on a rare analogue that is technically sound."

"The Synti 1055 was designed as an improvement to the Satellite, which Thomas Organ Company aquired the rights to manufacture in 1973 this was produced about '75. However it is not quite a Minimoog, Moogs are upgrade to the Satellite. The Synti 1055, like the Satellite, is an analog preset monosynth with a 3 1/2 octave, 44-note (F-C) keyboard (7 more notes than the Satellite). The major difference between the Synti 1055 and the Moog keyboards is that the 10 preset tabs are above the keyboard instead of below. To the left of the keyboard there are 7 sliders for modifying a preset, including filter modulation, cutoff frequency, and resonance. The lid hinges to expose the inners and you can see by the piscs how clean that is."
