ARP Slider Caps

"The early ARP synthesizers had multicolored plastic caps on their sliders. These caps were originally intended for mini toggle switches, but can be used on the sliders with a little coaxing. You can still get these from Mouser Electronics. They are made by Mountain Switch, and the Mouser part number is the same as the Mountain Switch part number."

Inside a Roland Jupiter 8

No title link. Brian saw the "jupiter guts" post of the Jupiter 6 and thought it looked familiar.

He dug up a shot of this Jupiter 8 he restored and sent it my way.

Update: Title link takes you to a flickr set with more shots set up by Brian.

Roland Teaser

Roland Teaser for 1/18/07, NAMM, is up. Title link takes you to it on the Roland home page. There are three flashes of what looks like the hardware. I grabbed two but couldn't get the last.
Update: you can see some more stills in this HC thread. The last shot I tried to grab was a slider. Also someone suggested it looks like the coming MV-8800 with color screen, which makes sense as the video states the revolution will not be in black & white.

Europa Upgrade - Roland Jupiter 6

J saw the "jupiter guts" post and it got him thinking about the Europa upgrade. He did a quick search on my site and noticed I didn't put up a post on it yet. He's right! It's been out since before I started the blog and I haven't come across a reason to post it yet. So... If you haven't checked it out yet, do it. In short it a major update to the Jupiter 6 adding additional arpeggiator modes, MIDI CC for all sliders and knobs, and a whole lot more. Title link takes you to Synthcom Systems, Inc., home of Europa and more. Thanks goes to J for this one.
