Roland MSQ-700

"The Roland MSQ-700 was the worlds first MIDI sequencer. It is an 8 track sequencer that can hold 6500 notes. Has part mode and song mode and can also do overdubs.

It also has a DCB port for sequencing the Jupiter 8 or the Juno 60. Sadly, it cannot sequencer both MIDI and DCB at the same time, only one of the other.

BUT...

One of the coolest things it does is to sync MIDI clock to Roland's proprietary DINSync24 for all your XOX boxes (TR-808, 909, 303, 606, etc). You can step sequence your 808 and then lock its sequencer to your computer's MIDI clock and have perfect timing between the drum machine and your host sequencer (Logic, ProTools, DP, Live, etc). This is primarily what I used the MSQ for.

The removable 2 prong Roland power cord has been replaced with a hard wired 3 prong power cable."

Yamaha SHS-10 midi Keytar

"The MIDI Out connector allows the keyboard to control external MIDI equipment.
You can of course use the 25 internal FM sounds. It has its own speaker but it also sounds great attached to an amp or hi-fi. Also features 25 internal drum rhythms.
You play the keyboard with your right hand and bend and modulate notes holding the neck with your left - just like a guitar. You can use the Pitch Bend Wheel, or trigger Vibrato, Portamento or Sustain with your left hand."
