"This kit replaces the old non-backlit LCD on a Yamaha DX7 with a beautiful new BLUE one with long-lasting LED backlight.

Blue LCDs in this exact size that fit the DX7 are extremely hard to find, especially blue. Limited supply ( I have a couple more).

Easy to install!
Only one solder connection required.
Step-by-step instructions.
With original Yamaha LCD connector so no mistakes!!
The back-light is current-limited to protect the DX7 power supply from working too hard.
Replaces original non-backlit or later green backlit LCDs on original DX7.
NOTE: Blue LEDs not included but available as a separate auction (combined shipping available).

"A simple real-time patching of various CVs from the 281e going into a simple constant tone in the 261e. Oh yeah, at the end I briefly patched in the 266e. The 261e is an amazing: an audio VCO, a LFO (which can go audio) and the filtering of the Timbre, Symmetry and High Order. I only used 4 of the 7 CV ins on the 261e."

The resonating overtones are entered via a midi keyboard (the keyboard is not contributing any audio, its only duty is to send midi info to the resonator). The VCS3 oscillators slide past the chosen overtones producing a violin sound. The Putney's oscillators are controlling each other's frequencies, as osc.3 sends osc.1&2 sliding up & down (osc.3 CV is not inverted as it is on #5) & everything is ruled by the joystick.. all live... all VCS3"
