"I just had the unit fully serviced and it's working great. Cosmetically it does have some damage on the tolex and wood corners but the face of the unit is pretty good cosmetically. It doesn't come with it's legs or top cover. Please note that these are very sensitive synthesizers. It is likely that if the unit is shipped it may need to be tuned/calibrated again. Please note this."

"The unit is 100% functional and in really nice cosmetic shape. I just had it fully gone through and new bushings were installed recently. It plays like new and sounds great..."

6-tier keyboard stand - Jaspers synthesizer instrument display stand rack

videos below.

"Every tier can be tilted to virtually any degree to allow for a comfortable playing position
The forks of every tier can be made to stick straight out or at an angle
The height of every tier can be adjusted
The depth of every fork can be adjusted
The horisontal position of both forks of every tier can be adjusted independently in case you want to put a small keyboard on some tier and you need them to come together a bit and you don't want to put a shelf on there like I've done.

Just make sure to tighten the screws once in a while depending on how much you re-adjust the tiers. I haven't had any problems with this stand since I got it and I've had some really bulky stuff on there like a Roland Jupiter-8, Roland Jupiter-6 and Yamaha DX7 mark 1, all of which weigh in at about 15-20 kgs.

The frame of the stand is made of aluminium and the sockets interconnecting the frame is made out of plastic. The dimensions of the stand is (H x L x D): 170 cm x 150 cm x 50 cm. For more info about the stands go to http://www.jaspers-alu.de/eng/index1.html and the bottom of this page in particular: http://www.jaspers-alu.de/eng/keyboards.html"

WEM WATKINS COPICAT IC400 Vari Speed

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated. via this auction

"Offered for sale here is one of the rarer and more sought-after models: the IC400 Vari Speed Copicat - complete with seventies 'space age' lettering: probably the most versatile of all the Copicats, with three echo replay heads and the all-important variable speed motor for accurate tempo-matched repeats (or crazy dive-bombing feedback dub effects).

It is in excellent working order and has just had an overhaul to ensure it's working as it should. It has an IEC socket fitted for 240v mains supply, the heads have been demagnetised and a new tape fitted. The case is quite scruffy (see photos below for details), but operationally it's a very good example indeed - appearances can be deceiving with these machines. This one sounds excellent: very inspiring to play. All knobs are crackle-free (some crackle may develop over time through lack of use - this is easily rectified by a few turns or in excessive cases, a squirt of Caig Deoxit switch cleaner).

The echoes are even in level/tone across all heads, and self-oscillate raucously when the sustain knob is turned up. The repeats have that pleasing analogue warmth that comes from tape and which sits so well behind whatever you're playing: this is not a crisp digital delay unit...

It has had a socket fitted for footswitch use which makes for a very studio-friendly unit: the footswitch socket carries the wet-only signal so it's perfect for use as an effects send when mixing, and great for dub-style feedback delays which sound wonderful - it's very easy to get lost creating hypnotic feedback rhythms when 'playing' this machine.

It comes with the original footswitch (a bit battered and missing the logo, but working fine).

It's fitted with a new WEM tape - because Copicats only use a short length of tape (compared to Echoplexes or Space Echoes) the tape should be changed regularly for optimum performance. We can supply quantities of tape loops if required. We use and supply both genuine WEM loops (still manufactured/supplied by Charlie Watkins) and loops from MyTape Echo..."

"There was a slight constant noise without playing a key when I turned the unit on, so I ran the unit in test mode. It seems like voice chips number 4 and 6 is not working properly and would probably need replacing. Other thing with this unit is that 5 white keys and 3 black keys seem to be not responding. They are 3C, 3C#, 3D, 3D#, 3E, 3F, 3F# and 3G.

Everything else should be working well to the best of my knowledge, all the buttons and sliders, as well as preset memories and writing function working fine."
