"I've not had much time for music lately but I'd been working on a patch for a few weeks that showed promise but I couldn't quite get the feel right.

Inspired by watching live footage of James Holden playing 'The Inheritors' live in Paris, I decided to tear down my stale patch and have some fun.

I Dream of Wires Hardcore Edition Now on Amazon

For anyone looking for a stocking stuffer, IDOW Hardcore Edition is now available on Amazon:

"I DREAM OF WIRES: HARDCORE EDITION is a companion to the forthcoming feature-length documentary, I DREAM OF WIRES. An alternate/extended cut, I Dream of Wires: Hardcore Edition is 4 hours in length, custom made for hardcore modular synthesizer and electronic music fanatics. This special, extended edition includes an exclusive, lengthy historical primer, exploring the early development of modular synthesizers from pioneering companies Moog Music Inc. and Buchla and Associates. From there, we find out what's happening now: the phenomenal resurgence of the modular synthesizer exploring the passions, obsessions and dreams of people who have dedicated part of their lives to this esoteric electronic music machine. What started out as a "vintage-revival scene" in the '90s has grown into an underground phenomena with a growing market of modular obsessives craving ever more wild and innovative sounds and interfaces. Today, the modular synthesizer is no longer an esoteric curiosity or even a mere music instrument it is an essential tool for radical new sounds and a bona fide subculture. Interview subjects include musicians and producers Morton Subotnick, Bernie Krause, Gary Numan, Chris Carter (Throbbing Gristle), Daniel Miller, Flood, Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), Carl Craig, cEvin Key (Skinny Puppy), James Holden, Factory Floor, Legowelt, John Foxx and Vince Clarke,as well as manufacturers and modular industry leaders Doepfer, Modcan, Make Noise, Intellijel, Metasonix, Synthesis Technology/MOTM, Muffwiggler Mike and Andreas Schneider."

Flight of Harmony V'AMP VCA Eurorack Module

"The V’Amp is a combined voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA) and ring modulator (A.K.A. ring “mod”), with a little bit extra. While typical ring mod devices are designed specifically for frequency mixing, the V’Amp allows you to not only change the degree of the mixing and the level of the bleed through, but can also be used as a VCA at the same time. The mixing can be varied from VCA (carrier only), into ring mod, then out of ring mod into inverting VCA (inverted carrier).

Mod1 is the modulator. Envelope and Mod2 should be thought of as VCA (AM) inputs, but separate. Envelope is a straight VCA control voltage (CV) input, while Mod2 is an attenuated/variable CV input.

The morphing of the Mod1 function is not fully controllable by CV and must be varied using the knob to access the full range of variation. However, experimentation has shown that a control voltage applied to the second Mod1 input can be used to voltage-control a small range of the function morphing.

As with all f(h) products, the V’Amp was engineered towards maximizing functionality while keeping cost as low as possible. If some aspects of the unit seem awkward, it is most likely due to this. The goal is to make unique, useful, enjoyable, and affordable instruments, not just drain your bank account, so each module requires a little patience and experimentation before their secrets become apparent.

Flight of Harmony Sound of Shadows Delay Module

"The Sound of Shadows (SoS) is a voltage-controlled (VC) digital delay module based around the PT2399 echo IC1 from Princeton Technology – which was, by the way, originally designed for Karaoke equipment.

The SoS is essentially two separate modules: a delay and a voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA). The focus of the SoS was the delay while the VCA was thrown in because half of an LM13700 IC was unused, so the VCA is very basic.

As with all f(h) products, the SoS was engineered towards maximizing functionality while keeping cost as low as possible. If some aspects of the unit seem awkward, it is most likely due to this. The goal is to make unique, useful, enjoyable, and affordable instruments, not just hoover2 out your bank account.

And remember: every instrument has its quirks and unexpected aspects, so RTFM! All the way through! Specific quirks are mentioned in the description of the particular feature they apply to, so please read this through before emailing!

"Moog MG-1 w/ mods & hard case + Midi to CV converter

This Moog MG-1 synth is fully functioning and in good cosmetic shape (normal signs of wear on an instrument of this age).... Tone Source tuning knob is not original.

This unit has had the following upgrades performed:

• Filter input: send external audio signals through the famous Moog filter
• PWM mod: Tone Source Modulation only effects Tone Source 2 - this allows for pulse width modulation when the tone sources are in sync
• 1/4" audio output on back
• Inside of unit was cleaned / black goo removed

Also included in this auction is a MIDI to CV converter that runs on a 9V battery (included) and velcros to the back of the synth
It includes midi in, 1/4" CV out, 1/4" Gate out, on/off switch, and learn button.
2 patch cables also included
Its set up to work with the MG-1 (on midi channel 5) but will work with many analog monosynths.
Programmable with the Learn button or configure your own settings online at midiimplant(dot)com
Manual included"

Just realized I didn't have a MIDImplant label. I added it with this post and added it to previous posts as well. See the MIDImplant channel below for more. You can find them at http://midimplant.com.
