This is the first time I've seen a Hillwood branded Basky II. The Multivox model was black. You can see some here.
Via the listing: "Hillwood Basky II model bs 4322 bass synth pedal with a filter sweep and octave built in. This unit is 100% functional and is in great shape, lived in a studio and hardly used, does have some scratches and dings the fake wood sticker stuff is peeling up in spots, nothing major. The brand is Hillwood, but I know for a fact that Multivox made these as well. Basically its like a lightweight, less expensive, little brother to the Moog Taurus pedals. the black button on the right controls the filter sweep, the rest of the knobs are labled properly..."

"We'd never seen a set of Hillwood Basky II bass pedals before. Tony was sold on the funky faux-denim finish and groovy coloured knob caps; the bubbling acidic filter when we switched it on was an unexpected sonic delight.
We like the sound it makes, but we don't know much more about this vintage synth at this stage. It's in full working order and the controls are simple and self-explanatory...
The condition is good overall. We've added replacement knobs as some of the originals were missing. There is some very old plastic tape on the tops of all the pedals - this may well be removable but it will be a time-consuming task and does not affect the operation of the instrument."
See the Basky label below for more.

Vintage Multivox MX-150 Basky II Bass Synth
via this auction
"The Multivox MX-150 is a true analog bass synth. It has that warm, thick, room shaking bass that analog synths are known for. You can change the octave range and change the amount of sustain to get the exact feel you're going for. One of the most useful modes is to hold notes to lay a sonic foundation and create a mood to build songs around.
Made in: Japan
Serial Number: 155001"

According to the listing, these were owned by Indigo Ranch Studios.
via Discogs:
"Indigo Ranch was an American recording and mixing facility located in Malibu, CA, founded in 1974 by Richard Kaplan and Mike Pinder, who sold his share of the studio a few years later to Kaplan and Michael Hoffman the studio's business manager, that passed away in 1990. In the first two decades of the studio existence it had an eclectic mix of artists recording there such as Neil Diamond, Olivia Newton-John, Megadeth, and Neil Young, in the mid-nineties Ross Robinson, then young music producer, began recording there and the studio became the epicentre of the genre later dubbed "Nu Metal", with groups such as Korn, Soulfly, Slipknot, and Limp Bizkit recording their debut albums there, Robinson stopped recording there in the beginning of the new millennium and the studio then fell on hard times, Kaplan sold the studio in 2005 and in 2007 the facility was caught by the wildfires that occurred in the region and burned to the ground.
Some of the engineers that worked there where Bart Johnson, Chris Brunt, Chuck Johnson, Rob Agnello, Kevin Bosley and Zak Girdis."

via the listing: "I took these pedals in for service three years ago. The man took them and then broke his hip and leg. I finally got them back and they were still apart. I gave them to another guy who kept them for over a year. I got most of the work needed done that they required but he didn't reconnect the pedal wires. This set powers up, the lights work, the pedal contacts are good, but I'm not sure how the three pedal wires hook up (they are shown in one of the images, zoomed in on the blue, green, and yellow wires). Have fooled around and gotten some sound, but need someone who knows what they're doing. I think that they are worth putting back together, I ran out of techs to work with here to get them at 100%." So in other words, these pedals are going to work if you or someone you know can figure out how to properly connect the yellow, blue, and green wires. Otherwise they are in amazing shape..."

"The Multivox MX-150 Basky-II bass synthesizer is an affordable alternative to Moog's Taurus bass pedals. This set of synthesized bass pedals was made in Japan in the late 1970's. Although not as fat sounding as the Taurus, it is a true analog synthesizer, very warm sounding, with a nice array of features. Octave, hold, sustain (decay), expansion (filter) and attack (sharp or soft), are all selectable by footswitches. Controls include volume, tuning, tone, sustain and expand. Very simple for the user to create sounds and use in performance situations..."
