Sam Ecoff's Modular

Remember Sam Ecoff's Electronic Music Book's? Check out his modular. Title link takes you to more.

"The modular synthesizer kept at the studio is made up of modules from several different manufacturers. Blacet, Paia, Modcan, Cynthia, Metalbox, Wiard, ARP, and Doepfer are all represented. The modular is mounted in a custom oak case which rests on a desk, but is also bolted to the wall via L brackets."

  1. 3 Zeroscillators? Jesus, is he planning on getting 5 more so that he can fake a DX-7, all analog?

  2. Hee hee...

Nope, I'm just a sucker for a deal, and when Cynthia told me the price was about to go way up and there was a price break on three, I figured that it was now or never. If I found I didn't need three, I could sell one and almost pay for the remaining two. Of course that's not gonna happen now that I have them. Understand also that part of how the modular gets used is to teach conservatory classes in electronic music. While the conservatory doesn't own the modular, the classes have paid for it. :-) Oh, and to answer your question, I have both FM7 and a TX-416 for DX7 sounds. ;-)
