Actually I read up some info about it on Vintage Synth Explorer and I realised the RS-09 I now own looks different from the picture on VSE (the one on VSE is Version 3)... so I am not sure if mine is Version 1 or Version 2... anyone has any idea? It will be good for me to know. Thanks...
It's totally different. I have an RS-09 with the orange on black and Jupiter 8 style buttons. Your's must be older as it has the older Roland look. I wonder if the electronics and sound is different. I like the look of yours better. : )
Haha... yeah yours is the V.3 ... I think just looking at the interface we know yours has got more "patches" coz my strings panel only has 2 options... and organ 1... of course there's an "ensemble" option to mix the sounds... but I guess V.3 has a more updated interface and mine is simpler...
You wouldn't like it when you see the state it came in... all levers and pots clogged with dirt and dust... rusty everywhere... I had to spend alot of TLC to get it to where it is now. Bought it off a kiddo who did not take care of it at all... But I am a happy owner now... used it with my Delta Effectron I analogue delay and it sounded really nice (to me haha I know it's subjective... have to be careful what I say to synth experts!)
Great font there on the RS09.
ReplyDeleteHaha yeah...
