"These amazing units enjoyed an extremely limited production, with approximately 100 total synths being completed prior to being discontinued."

Sherman Filterbank - No Input, Wild Output Workout.
video upload by Signal Sounds
"Watch and listen as Michael Manning, highly experienced video game sound designer and composer, generates a wild palette of sounds and tones from the Sherman Filterbank using.....only the Filterbank with nothing plugged into it! It's magic.
Because we like so, there's also a free Soundpack of samples that Michael created during the video which is available right here, right now:

"These original units did not have MIDI.
According to the Sherman website just 40 of these Belgian beasts were made. No MIDI and the back “panel” is plastic plumbing pipe. No frills – all thrills.
Serial number: 31 – signed on the back by Herman!
In terms of functionality and sound it is obviously closer to the early Filterbank 1."

Sherman 2x2 Filterbank - Analog Filter and Distortion Unit

"Two identical Sherman Filterbank 2 devices in a flat 19" housing that can also simply lie on the table. All inputs and outputs are located on the front panel, which makes countless connections between the two devices easy, but above all with other tabletop devices. Via 'link' sockets, the two filters can be linked and played in parallel. Like the simple rack version, both LFOs also have a waveform output.
Technically and visually great condition - only near the logo there is a subtle scratch."

"The Quad Mod Filterbank
95 were produced. Mine is #80. Legend goes Herman Gillis created the QMF at the request of the Chemical Brothers. They own #1. They wanted a compact way to connect multiple fliterbanks in a compact space. This is a very special beast to say the least. Listen to the chemicals if you want to know what it can do.
The receipt above shows I am the original owner and that I purchased it directly from Sherman.
History of the unit
Essentially been in a climate controlled box for 20 years. It's a long, winding, sad story. I have finally let go of the dream of someday using it. It's time to go. It was out of a box for maybe 8 months with 20 hours of use tops. I put velco on the bottom because I didn't want it to even move. I left the velcro in case you want to do the same. I have considered it one of only a few prized possessions in my life. (Including my Latronic Notron which I'm also selling.)
It has always been safe and protected humidity free.
I believe it is the QMF with the least amount of use in existence. I have no way of proving that, but my situation is pretty unique. Maybe Herman has one stashed away unused.
There was never a manual. Just the included flyer above in the photos.
The internal power supply is universal. It takes an IEC cable which I LEFT OUT for weight and because if you're like me you have too many already.
The QMF was carefully packed in a large double walled cardboard box.
If you're in Canada, Japan or Europe I might consider an offer since this is so rare, but it needs to be one I don't want to refuse.
Good Luck
Dwight"
