That's some terrible design they have there....it's as if they took a page out of Korg's playbook (Radias, anyone?). Why is the joystick on the synth panel and not the keyboard?
ReplyDelete$4500?
ReplyDeleteMaybe for the MSRP....MAP will more likely be in the 3k range, not that I see them moving too many units at that price.
ReplyDeleteIts a great design
ReplyDeleteNot at all like the Radias design....
The radias is a 19 inch rack vocoding synth(24 note polyphony)that mounts inside a hollow frame keyboard controller...all 2 Ins/4 Outs Analog, live in the rack whether in its upright or flat state...It has no ability for further expansion or further memory allocations(16x16)max
this hollow keyboard frame makes finding a stand and case difficult...
Carrying it requires the gift of keeping the rack and sidetray from popping outside of the keyboard frame in one hand while carrying the AC-AC transformer...the 4 octave keyboard has no Aftertouch or ribbon ....I know as I have one....
on the other hand
The Origin (first laptop) keyboard design folds down to cover the Ribbon and lower half of the 5 octave Aftertouch keyboard...All 2 Ins/ 10 Outs Analog/digital are in the Keyboard.. as well as the main transformer...
polyphonic Aftertouch capable, 5 1/2" colour touch screen,32 voices, user routing of moduals ,from CS80,Prophet,Moog Modular,Mini Moog Arp 2600,room for expansion with future software...Knobs galore joystick(did I say touch screen)...the usb will also allow computers to free up resources and allow sequencing programs to use this bus to the ins and outs......(Usb on radias is only to edit and exchange program Patches with the computer)
