  3. HA!

    And I actually like it!

sort of like what you'd see in one of the company ships in Alien.

I like the vertical panel generally. Reminds me a bit of those old console computers, with the disks, monitor, and keyboard all-in-one (like old TRS-80 Model 3's).

Really is weak that there are no sounds yet.

The fact that so much vapour is pre-releasing suggests we're headed for a huge depression again.

Personally, I'm being fitted for a metal face-mask pretty soon. Just in time for the motor-cycle-gang-raiders. While I won't lead them, I will develop their science.

  4. Dr.,
During end times i always pictured i'd find the bag lady with the chuck-zito/diceman gloves-with-the-fingers-cut off, and end up fighting her over garbage discoveries. maybe anyways. we'll do the soundtrack on a Cs-80!

  5. It looks nice to me too BUT I got a vision of me reaching behind to do some plugging in, accidentally bang the module and go "darn, it snapped" :S

  6. One word: Why!?

Why bother with that marketing ploy that is the screen? It's clear that there's enough room on the board without that panel there, and it's just going to get in the way and take up unnecessary space, and as anyone who's owned a notebook knows it will get loose hinges over time, it'll break off easily, require special roadcases, be invisible at funny angles...

It's just a bad idea in general. Unless your market is cheezy fools who just want the cool new toy with the wicked hingy screen.

  7. It reminds me of the SMS2000 in that people said it couldn't be real because if you were to close it on it's hinge the knobs would get damaged. That was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the Origin.

  8. all that wasted space on the keyboard panel!

they could've filled it up with analogue filter modules to make it sound nice
