Roland SH-2000 demo

dave probably had a stiff neck after shooting this vid. fwiw, *i* think this synth should get a 1 out of 5 for sound and features. however, as a door prop or weapon, i would rate it a 10 out of 6 :)

thanks for the demo, but why didn't you use the after touch? you blindly flipped through the switches apparently not knowing what they did.

ReplyDeleteVSE sucks. Don't pay attention to their ratings. It's a heap of opinionated and arbitrary reviews. Way outdated suggested prices too.

Sounded cool when he hit the Tuba preset.
You've gotta wonder what was up with the Banjo preset. It can't be played by the random arpeg??

I love my sh2000. There's alot more tricks to be had. Maybe I'll make a vid some day. The aftertouch is the greatest thing in the world.
ReplyDeleteI have a old multivox mx-2000 Duo, which is pretty much a clone of the sh-2000. It also sounds much better and is a bit more flexible since they added some extra features Roland didn't think of - a 2nd OSC and a ring mod. Maybe someday I'll make a video of it but it's presets are kinda messed up and the aftertouch ain't working right, so it needs some fixing.
