Inner Circus - original synth prog rock

"Here's a snappy little tune in a not very dance-able 11/8. I stuck a few more solos in there than there really should be. If you like this kind of nefarious note-noodling you'll love my Parallax CDs on umop.com/parallax.htm"

  3. yeah, too much skill and talent, he should use his synths to make abstract drones and annoying buzzy clicks and banjo noise.

  4. I've never been much of a tweaker, but more of a noodler. And one thing's for sure about noodling... nobody's on the fence about it.

  5. Nothing you would find on my ipod, but it at least shows more talent than the drones I normally go for.

What actually 'ruins' the clip is the drums. Love or hate the lead, its serviceable but those R4wk drums make it sound like background music for an infomercial.

  6. Sorry about that... I'm working with a sequence I made back around 1997 on a Korg 01/W! Very outdated...

  7. I loved it. The drums and track reminded me of Rush a little, and I like Rush. : )

  11. i thought the piece was interesting. dave has great chops for sure. it would have been nice if it created more of a mood than be a centrepiece for chops. make the melodies take the listener through different moods, feelings etc.

also, more banjos sounds would have been nice.

  13. interesting fingering - cut off both pinkies and it wouldn't make any difference

  14. Not very good at using my ring finger either. That first run down the keys in the intro is all thumb-and-two-fingers.

  15. I felt perhaps it could do with a *little* more cowbell...
