Well, it is...and it isn't. Apparently the Nord Wave is the eventual incarnation of the Lead 3, looking at the copy. Probably a marketing decision to try and expand the line's scope by making it a wholly new model as opposed to a continuation of a line.
ReplyDeleteWell, I couldn't find the NL3 for sale anywhere recently. Seems that it was 'dropped' a long while ago.
ReplyDeleteLead 3 is listed as discontinued.
ReplyDeleter.i.p. nord lead 3.. I'll still rock it tho
ReplyDeleteThere is actually a 'discontinued' page at Clavia's site.
ReplyDelete"Nord Lead 3 The Nord Lead 3, introducted in 2001 was a big step up in both performance and price compared to the previous members in the Nord Lead family..... The line was discontinued in 2007, and replaced by the Nord Wave."
also note:
"In 2007, the Nord Modular G2X (5-octave) was discontinued, while the Nord Modular G2 (3-octave) and Nord Modular Engine (rack) remain in production."
