I also posted a lolcat version. Check the link again.
ReplyDeleteThat cat needs a nice blast of canned air in the face.
ReplyDeleteCAT. OFF. SYNTH.
It really does cause an instinctive rage in me to see a cat on a synth. Not sure why... oh yea, cats are evil and want to pee in everything. That's it.
Love cats, have two and they're just like kids to me and children aren't allowed NEAR my synths - for obvious reasons. Pets fall into the same category - would you lay a heavy fur coat over your synth? No. A baby? No. Why a cat then?
ReplyDeleteThe risk of clogging hair & dander, accidental scratches, broken/forced knobs/buttons/pots and damage to key mechanisms (all from letting them walk/lay on the synth) should be enough of a reason not to encourage this behavior.
But hey - it's your vintage machine - you paid for it. Go on and treat it like your pet bed if you like - just be prepared for problems at some point.

ReplyDelete(banging head on keyboard)
Looks more like a cat walking across your keyboard.

That reminds me, shouldn't you treat your computer with the love and respect that you would treat a pet..wait, a baby...wait, I mean a synthesizer with?
i agree with comment 4. vintage synths are an asset. anyone with 1/2 a brain in their head wouldnt let a baby or an animal on their asset. when you wonder why there are few beautiful examples of vintage synths left, you people using your synths as kitty condo are partially at fault. someone should take those synths away from you and put them in a good home.
