Galaxy 500 Studiologic SL-880

"I got the controller quite cheap years ago when someone had tried to ship it, and the shipper basically dropped it, breaking both sets of endcaps. I cleaned it up, repainted it gunmetal/DX-7 brown, added the felt strip, and the Galaxie500 nameplate (via eBay motors). The new endcaps directly from Studiologic, though no props to them for not being able to provide the custom plastic mounting hardware - I had to create a workaround with some washers and such from the hardware store."

via this craigslist post. Note via Josh who sent this one in: "As a note, I'm only selling this through craigslist locally. I will not be shipping it, unless someone wants to throw LOTS of money my way (IE, paying for the UPS store to wrap and ship it). At that point, they may as well buy a new controller and make the mods themselves. It would be cheaper."

I like this one simply because I like Galaxy 500 - great band.

  1. I love Galaxy 500. I was fortunate enough to see them perform live. They opened for the Cocteau Twins.

  2. Nice. I love the Cocteau Twins as well. When and where was that show?

  3. I used to drive my grandmother's 1972 Galaxie 500. Did 0 to 60 in about an hour.
