  1. very nice... gotta get one of these at some point. The $1600 price tag is so hard to justify though!

  2. The thing about the machinedrum is that it sounds so much like a machinedrum. There is no mistaking a machinedrum for anything else in a song... if you don't absolutly love the machinedrum, and want everyone to know it, you are probably better off getting something else.

  3. MachineDrum sounds a lot like Max/MSP and or pretty much anything IDM to me. If you don't want to learn Max/MSP and you want to make some IDM...

Side note, most of Air's drums on their last 2 albums are MachineDrum. Its really how the user decides to use the machine...

  4. haha. uhm what does max/msp "sound" like its just control and data. if you put crap in crap comes out. i'm really tired of you haters saying that equipment has too distinct a sound. get creative… your gear doesn't do that for you.

  5. Air used an MD?? That's crazy. they avoid anything digital like the plague. Could be, though, I'll say. It's REALLY just odd for those analog nuts in particular.

  6. Maybe that vid sounds like MD because I used almost exclusively the EFM machines, which are pretty digital and signature sounding. You can do quite a lot of different stuff though. It's all about how you use it. And you can load the smapz :)
