  1. Probably the worst sounding synth I've ever had.

  2. I feel badly for the person who would pay $250USD for this...

Amazingly enough, the Sound on Sound review cast it in a sort of glorious "it's got great potential if you put lots of effects on it" light...

  3. My friend has one of these...Sure, the presets are bad...really bad, but you can fatten them up pretty easily, or just make your own. You can't beat the input and output options of this thing for the price.

The only other thing I noticed is that it's really quiet if you are just running it straight to a recording interface sans preamps.

  4. Hence why Sound on Sound is such a joke.

I remember a few years back people were doing mods on the outputs of these to make them sound like proper synths. I wonder if anyone has a link to that?

  5. These things are so buggy, its not even funny. When I had one, the thing locked up like every five minutes making actually trying to use it impossible. Worst synth EVER, IMO.

I ended up giving it to my buddy for a half case of micro brew.

  6. just watch this thing become a cult classic some decades from now. Remember, TB-303 was dismissed just as easily when it came out. Heck, I even bought one from GC (for $960) that had a "clearance" $75.00 price sticker still attached to the box (adding pain and agony to an already excruciating injury of my wallet).

All it takes is for some wacko to find a unique application of this box of crap - and you got dirty and filthy masses clawing their way to get their crummy fingers on one of these!

awwww, who am I kidding? It's a piece of crap and the only good sound to come out of it would be the satisfying "crunch" after you drop a boulder on top of it.
