EVI Serge by vgermuse Part 3
YouTube via matrixsynth, via Todd Barton, aka vgermuse:
"at the request of many folks on and off line, I have put together a 6 minute piece using just the EVI1000/EWV2000 analog synth. This features sounds I created for my work with Anthony Braxton and the Northwest Creative Orchestra. Sometimes the sounds are sent through Moogerfooger Murf, Moogerfooger Ring Modulator, Boss RC-20 loop and some reverb. I recorded the track via the mixing board so things are pretty clean." You can grab the video and other demos off of vgermuse's website. Follow-up to this post.

Bravo!
ReplyDeletebut
The audio zips won't decompress for me.
:-(
Is this by design?
They play fine from the website, just can't unzip the downloaded file.
I get the "...does not appear to be a valid file... try downloading again" message.
I was going to try and mash up some Barton/Lainhart magic.
Can't DL Richard's Buchlaworks stuff either.
I'd so like to hear these two together.
B E A T U T I F U L ! ! !
ReplyDeleteI can imagine hearing it in a performance space and it's just simply magical! FAB!!!

ReplyDeleteWell, that sounds interesting. The MP3s on my site aren't save-protected; they just open in their own window without an obvious URL to make them a little more difficult to grab.
If you let one fully download into its window, you should then be able to save it as a separate file to your system. I don't know what you're using to listen to MP3s, but in QuickTime, you just need to click on the arrow on the righthand side of the controller and chose "Save As Source" from the menu..

ReplyDeletetried that,
got the "buy QT pro" message.
Rather give you two my money - lol
But, no biggie, and I appreciate your help (and the free tunes).
Got plenty of my own stuff I should be working on.
;-)
In Firefox, you can click on File Save once the media is fully loaded and it will save it as a file.

ReplyDeleteHah, that worked a charm at Todd's site. Had to do a little 'view source" copy/paste to get Richard's tunes to open in their own full blown window. But I now have the files I was after.
Thanks M, R, 'n' T. If it turns out well, I'll post the results.
Anthony Braxton and Toni Braxton should really do a collaboration.
