Great Video. Tape is really pretty amazing.
ReplyDeleteGreat sound, but relatively easy to emulate/sample these days.
ReplyDeleteMellotrons can be faked quite well (M-Tron, I use my EXS24 in Logic) ...but when you start chewing on that pitchbend, it's over. OVER, I say!

Why does it say 'Los Angeles - Stockholm' on the Mellotron?
ReplyDeleteHaving played a Mellotron, M-Tron doesn't capture the real vibe at all. Mellotron is totally pressure sensitive...
