Very nice... price... these are going to go fast.
ReplyDeleteThat design might be okay for people making noise but will be worthless for anyone who needs stable repeatable control voltages. Nothing is buffered, not even the CV output, and the per step LED, gate, and CV all share the same source. The Ray Wilson MFOS sequencer is superior to this and not that much more costly.
ReplyDeleteCan you purchase a Ray Wilson MFOS sequencer fully assembled? Im not touching a soldering iron.
ReplyDeleteRay's designs are incredibly well done, no doubt about that. The point of the Voice Of Saturn Sequencer was to make the cheapest, easiest to build analog sequencer I could, but still with some interesting options. I made this for my own personal use, and people were interested, so we made some PCBs. The design could definitely stand improvement (hence it being open source) - I basically started from the Baby10 sequencer and ran with it. I think Ray's sequencer would take a considerably larger time investment to build, while it has more features. Thanks for the comments!
ReplyDeleteThe S trigger was a thoughtful touch.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Scott
Yeah, my main testing bed was my Korg MS-10...
