2. A Modular Synth's Dream | The MegaMaxSequencer
Building a multipurpose digital Kosmo module. Primarily a sequencer but also serves as a digital module software development platform. It has 8 inputs/outputs 2 of which are on a 12 bit DAC that has output circuitry to switch between 0 to 5 volts high resolution or 0 to 10 volts slightly less high resolution, 2 on PWM capable Arduino pins that have a voltage doubler to reach 10 volts, and 4 on analog input pins that can be used as analog inputs or digital outputs.

Rakit Baby8 sequencer controlling 2 Atari punk consoles!

Published on Mar 8, 2019 midierror

"The Rakit stuff is great, here the Baby8 sequencer is sending its output to two atari punk consoles set to different pitches. I made a little breadboard patchbay which allows the signal to be sent to two destinations for melodic richness and detuned madness.

In this quick vid I'm flicking between each of the atari punk consoles before finally playing them together."

CANDY 8 sq like baaby 8

Published on Apr 15, 2018 paul tas

The Baby 8 is based on the Baby 10. The first mention of the Baby 10 was twelve years ago, back on November 29, 2006. The Baby 10 is a diy sequencer many have built into custom enclosures and modules. You can find numerous incarnations via the Baby 10 label below.

MFOS (inspired) DIY Analogue Synthesizer Experiments.

Published on Apr 2, 2017 Michael Maggs

"These are loosely based mainly on Ray Wilsons' 'Music From Outer Space' synthesizer designs There are other designs too. It's just me having fun and working towards a monster analogue synthesizer.

LFO based around a CD40106 Hex Schmitt trigger:

VCO can be found here:
https://www.allaboutcircuits.com/proj...

VCF can be found here:
http://musicfromouterspace.com/index....

The Step Sequencer is based on the CD4017 based decimal counter IC. In this instance I use only the GATE for triggering at around 5V:

"a demonstration of a simple sequencer I built, based on the 4017 chip, 'baby sequencer' schematics, and a MFOS sequencer schematic. The sequencer is controlling the picture of 1 oscillator and the cuttoff frequency of my synthesizers.com state variable filter. The speed and gate is controlled by a 8038 LFO module I built.

incidentally, my kettle started to boil by the end of this video."

Böhm Soundlab Multi Module

via Look what I can do! where you'll find the full post.

"About 300 or so were ever made, and at least half of them were destroyed when the warehouse of the german Böhm company burned down. Needless to say, this thing is quite rare, and modules are hard to come by.
Now, the synth comes in this somewhat flimsy hardshell suitcase, and this particular specimen had some unused space that begged to be filled in a meaningful way.

My friend asked me if I could help, and I said "Yes!" - I offered to make a module with an 8-step sequencer, a state variable VCF (LM137000 anyone?), a double CV Inverter and a double "gender bender" (to convert between banana jack and 6,3mm mono plugs); thus making the most out of the available space."

DIY Sequencer Controlling PAIA 9000 Series Modular

Published on Nov 12, 2012 by JAMESveeder

"The sequencer module is based off of the baby 10 step sequencer. It includes 10 steps, the ability to change the amount of steps in the sequence with the reset knob, an internal clock from a 555 timer chip with a pulse out to control things like ADSR or whatever, a clock in so you can have two clocks going at once to get some weird patterns (which is also directed to the clock out so you can control modules with all of the same clock speeds.) two CV outs. It also includes the ability to turn steps off
One thing I want to add is the ability to turn the internal clock off, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

This is all being played through a PAIA 9700 with no external effects except for some reverb from my mixer.

Anyways, thanks for viewing!"

Update: Some info on the gear and another video below.

"The system on the left that I'm playing is my DIY CGS Serge. Both sounds come from it, The kick drum comes from the 909. The bass line is CGS ENS-76 VCO being sequenced via a midi to CV converter. The looping 'acid' sound is a Serge VCS sequenced by the Baby10 step sequencer in a Cigar box. The Paia 4700 system below the 909 I'm not using in this song."

Update: one more. I was going through foniks YouTube videos to see which on Vimeo I already posted here. It looks like the following did not previously go up. The description also identifies some of the modules in the system.

SympleSynth

YouTube Uploaded by bchris1776 on Aug 27, 2011

"This is my answer for an Ultra Simple Synth voice for your Baby 10 or other sequencer build. It's designed to be EASY to build and uses the absolute minimum of parts for its functions. It was a response to so many people building Baby 10's and using them to make terrible sounds with 555 circuits. :) You know who you are.
This will make music/noise/sound with anything that outputs a CV (Control Voltage) (1 to 5 volts or so) and Gate or Trigger of a couple volts - for example the SympleSeq DIY sequencer kit. You could even plug your vintage analog synth keyboard or Ribbon controller into it if you want - but don't expect 1 volt per Octave. This IS a very crude VCO, VCF and VCA approximation on one small PCB with about $15 worth of parts (much less if you shop smart)
Top two knobs are Filter cut off and Filter Res, second two are Attack / Decay, Red knob is VCO 2 pitch, and the switch chooses VCO1, VCO2, or Both
This is recorded direct into the computer - no processing."
