I doesn't matter how well it is manufactured in China. It is still Behringer's crappy ripoff designs!!
ReplyDeleteObviously, the dark room full of school-age children going blind while they solder up cheap mixers was left out of this documentary...
ReplyDeleteNo matter what you say about Behringer, and I'd say this even to the boss of Behringer himself, first impressions last. Last year I bought a BSY600 bass synthesizer pedal, put a confirmed working battery in it, it ran well for a few minutes alongside a drum machine (such sweet sounds for a non-analogue piece) until it suddenly stopped. I inspected the battery and it was bulging and burned the tips of my fingers when I went to check its temperature.
ReplyDeleteReturned to store with sad face, got money back, started considering the three times more expensive and just as well sounding but a little more limited and equally digital Boss SYB-5 :/
Morale of the story is:
Don't throw your old crap drum machines away, give them great bends to enhance their sounds into something useful or feed them through a bass synth pedal, and don't throw receipts away. Ever.
Sometimes I'm looking for that special Behringer sound. And in those times, only Behringer will do.

ReplyDeleteFunny thing, I've never had anything Behringer fail on me. I know it does, but I've been lucky!
