The Producers - She Sheila - Oberheim OB- X Keytar
YouTube via Louvers. via khoral.
"The New Wave band from Atlanta, Georgia called The Producers with their MTV hit video "She Sheila" from 1982. I posted this up for my wife. This is one of her all time 80's favorites."
Move over Edgar Winter. We have an Oberheim OB-X keytar. :)
Anyone know more about this? Update: answer via Brian in the comments.
For reference: Edgar Winter's Frankenstein with the ARP 2600 Keytar previously posted here.

using the SH-1000 as a keytar
oops simple search would have shown you already posted :P
ReplyDeleteWayne Famous is/was the Producer's keyboard player. He built the right himself - the guts of the synth were on the sidestage, and a multicable handled the knobs and patch information. It used to go down and I heard he would simply drop it on the stage, pop open the hood and fix it on the spot.
ReplyDeleteThey had some amazing singles, and were featured New Years' Eve on MTV; even MTV thought the Producers would be huge...
Thanks Adam, I forgot about that one. Definitely worth adding to the post.
ReplyDeleteThanks Brian. Mystery solved.
