  1. It looks like a good program and I'm probably going to buy it but.. I'm sorry.. did he just say, "The world's first sample instrument" ??

  2. Jason Forrest is a complete fraud and hack. I'm sure he had nothing to do with this program, aside from adding "suggestions" that anyone could have done, and providing a dumb fat face for it...

  3. Hey, Jason Forrest here. You know, I did say that and I'll be the first one to admit that I completely misspoke in this case.

Shooting a video is pretty difficult, and getting the "lines" right is not so easy. In this case I was supposed to say "...first sample instrument for the iPhone". But unfortunately the correct phrasing was never really caught on tape, so we decided to just roll with it.

So yes, I totally agree, sorry for the error.

  4. Hi Jason,

Can you please detail exactly how you contributed to this project? Other than providing the requisite "mashup-wizard" gravitas?

  5. Glad too.

I invented the concept, directed the audio engineering, designed and implemented the user interface (and website) and worked closely with Agile Partners on various daily duties on the programming for the iPhone.

    And thanks for being friendly.

  7. Dude, you are so full of shit it's unbelievable. I will say you have an uncanny knack for getting people to do stuff for you for free though. I hope these Agile Partners are getting something for their work...

  8. I worked with a fellow musician to make the audio engine. I would make detailed comments on how I wanted every aspect of the app to sound and how it should be controlled and he did the hard part of making it happen. It was far more than, "add distortion".

I'm more than happy to answer any questions, but maybe move this to my Myspace or Facebook or something.

  10. Wouldn't one of the 3000 fart applications that came out before this technically be the first sample instruments?
