Will this really be at NAMM? I kind of doubt it.
ReplyDeleteI watched the demo and thought the randomizing features and parameter accessibility looked solid, it was the sucky ass kit they used that ruined it for me.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm definitely interested.
Make your own kit =o] For the money, you can't beat it.
ReplyDeleteI just meant the kit they used sounded cheap, not the tool itself. I fully understand it's a sampler that can import anything you want, from barking dogs to breaking glass.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I said I'm definitely interested. I like software itself a lot.
Hey Turboskin - read the product specs - there's not a sample in sight - it's pure synthesized sound a la Microtonic - what makes this unit potentially great is MIDI IN if you've already got a great sequence and MIDI-OUT so you can control old drums machines with great sounds but crappy rigid sequencers (I'm thinking about my SCI TOM for sure) - add the randomization and overall controls and this product will be VERY nice....
ReplyDeleteAh, thanks for the information Brian. I just assumed you could import samples, sucks you can't. Problem is I don't have hardware drum machine. But maybe the software ones I do have will be good enough.
ReplyDeleteAnd I've tried Microtonic and liked the sounds it has, so maybe this has better sounds than the ones they chose to demo.
