NOT NAMM: intelligel designs Vulcan Expander

via intelligel on muff's:
"Ok I am finally back on track with this. It took a while to source the ribbon cables needed (8 custom made 6 pin IDC cables per module to connect the the switches to the Vuclan module) and there was some delays with the PCBs.

Below you can see photos of a built pcb and the drawing for the metalphoto panel (6HP).

Pricing:

$110 for kit (includes everything you need: panel, parts, pcb, wire/cables... all you need is solder and solder iron). Takes about 1-2hrs to build.

$150 for assembled module. (You will still need to solder two wires to the Vulcan but everything else is done).

I have tested all the functionality and it works perfectly! So fun to select the waveforms and the external ins work great as well (so useful, very glad I added this feature)

The only thing I made a mistake on was I did not normal the reset jack A to reset jack B. This is easy to change by adding a single wire but many people may prefer this functionality to stay as it is (Reset A is always independent from B).

Please contact me for payment details and shipping quotes based on where you live. Also include your e-mail address that you use for paypal

All parts are ready to ship except for the Metalphoto panels. (Lead time approximately 2 weeks). If you are purchasing an assembled module the lead time may be a little longer but I would hope for them to be ready within 3 weeks from today.

Build/mod instructions will be posted on my website soon..."

Update via intellijel in the comments: "I should point out that this expansion basically turns your Vulcan into a logic module as well since it provides external inputs to the SUM/DIFF/MAX/MIN circuit (which work really well). See the Muffwiggler forum for more details...."

  1. I should point out that this expansion basically turns your Vulcan into a logic module as well since it provides external inputs to the SUM/DIFF/MAX/MIN circuit (which work really well).
