For those that disliked my synth efforts, I can only say that the amount energy that went into creating that SteamPunk look is what TOTALLY inspired me to make this crazy machine in the first place. It was a complete labour of Love.
Since meeting Dr. Moog at his office in the late '60s / early '70s in Trumansburg, I've felt a special something for modular / analog synths.You can take a Synth out of Modular, but you'll never take "modular" of of synth!

ReplyDeleteThe panels are impressive, the aesthetic is unifying and lest we forget... the system is -huge-.
Did it take a ton of time/money? Likely. However, this thing aught to hit a museum in a few decades. Where, or where will your equipment go?
I think it's very cool. Anybody that says synths aren't at least partly about the aesthetics is kidding themselves (even an anti-aesthetic is an aesthetic).

Now taste, well taste is subjective...and I like this guy's taste.

I cant believe people are knocking this thing. Seriously wtf? The amount of time, energy, and dedication to follow a vision like this thru is something im sure the haters could never do.
