Der SPL DrumXchanger nutzt die Technik des Transient Designers zur Erkennung von Drum-Hits. Dabei sollen Anschläge unabhängig von der Dynamik erannt werden, sogar Ghost Notes. Bei der Ersetzung fügt der DrumXchanger die Samples phasengenau in das Originalsignal ein. Wahlweise kann man das Sample dem Originalsignal auch zumischen.
Der DrumXchanger wird laut SPL Website 356,- Euro kosten (laut David ca. 390,- Euro) und als Plugin im RTAS-, VST- und AU-Plugin für Windows und OSX erhältlich sein. Der Veröffentlichungstermin der finalen Version steht noch nicht fest, wahrscheinlich aber noch im April 2010. Weitere Informationen und Screenshots findet ihr auf der Produktseite von SPL.
