MIDI Decontroller

Custom MIDI controller via Robert
"CC control is very important to me - what I really care about is the ability for live control over as many possible aspects of sound generation/effects at the same time.

The Yamaha A5000 has CC controlled effects and a few other things which are very inspiring - from the receiving CC messages point of view.

Actually, inspired by internal architecture of my A5000 I've build something called MIDI Decontroller - I didn't build it form a scratch - I "reshaped" an alesis photon 25 midi controller - which was desperatly boring control surface

First I decided to make a 2 octave keyboard more interesting for my fingers by attaching a few small objects to it, then I rearranged CC knobs into sliders and made them more ... well - more body orientated I would say - as you can see in photos, the whole thing is quite mad, but works perfectly :)"
