Comparison test: Blofeld - Monotron - Evolver
YouTube via adimsimion | November 19, 2010
"The sound was normalized but only with the tool of the video software. In consequence, the white noise of the Monotron is more obvious and wasn't removed at all. On the other side is better, because you'l know what to expect when you buy a Monotron.
So, you have to know from beginning that Monotron has a very pregnant white noise and it ribbon cannot be described in terms like "precisely".
But still a very powerful analog synth into a small box [reminds me the earlier radios!]
I didn't have enough time and will to match the sounds exactly, but the final conclusion is that all three synths have something in common: the analog sounds, even the Blofeld is a VA and many said that sounds noisy, metallic etc - with some skills you can produce excellent patches.
Many thanks to "matrixsynth" who "convinced" me to re-upload this test.
Please, enjoy, and comment!
