"Hello ! My name is Frederic Gerchambeau. I have made this movie and this music. The music has been made in one take using Plogue Bidule, the Meesha Gemini 1 VSTi, the Kiesel Free Delay VST and the Ambience VST. Enjoy !"

  1. Hi there Frederic, my name is David Wolfman, I am a musician /digital-composer/virtualDJ/producer/audiographer,let me first say that I love the synth sounds you are getting on this video, the one embedded into the page (Spiral Pearl), I would like to establish a dialog concerning the use of purely mathematical ideas in music. I find it easy to research sequences, like Fibonacci, and also what I assume was the basis for 'Spiral Pearl' which would be based on a paper by Prof. Elaine Chew in her MIT doctoral thesis titled "Toward a Mathematical Model of Tonality" is this accurate? If so, can you help me grasp a method or approach vector for defining context for a math notion or formula within a musical (digtial with low latency, and DAW software, Cubase/Bidule, etc...
And really, is any of this possible or are we playing a catch up game as artists to the scientists we respect? Meaning, is it possible, do computers/technology bridge a gap so exactly between math and music? What are your views, Frederick?
