"Testing out the new IK iRig MIDI interface. Here I'm using 'Little MIDI Machine', 'Genome MIDI' & 'Slide Control' on the iPad 2 to sequence/control a Neptune 2, DSI TETR4 & an MS2000. This all worked extremely well so my next test is to use 'Genome MIDI' to sequence several devices at once."

I heard there were problems with fast playing, the interface not bring responsive enough...not so in your test?
ReplyDeleteWhere are those problems posted? iRig MIDI is a top-quality interface that works with MIDI data via CoreMIDI as fast as any other. MIDI has been around so long, the interface is rarely the issue as the protocol works very well in the modern world with the tools at our disposal. The likely issue in those cases you mention was probably the device (other apps clogging memory, etc) or the apps they were using.
