Runs on a 9 volt battery. Has 4 buttons above the keyboard for Disco, Latin or Pop background rhythms, along with a Tempo button which adjusts the pitch or octave. It has a built-in speaker. It has a metal prop stand beneath which enables you to play it flat or at an angle...Kraftwerk made this little unit famous by using it for a song called 'Pocket Calculator.' So it definitely has hipster cred and value for geeks of unusual toy synthesizers."
