Dave Smith Evolver with red LEDs and black panel.

"The DSI Evolver is one of the best synths in my opinion. I totally love it.
I can't stand blue LEDs so I decided to replace them with red ones.
After that I made a panel that looks more like the Prophet-5 / Pro~One and uploaded it to styleflip.com.
I also replaced the knobs with the ones from DSI's lovely synth Prophet-08.

I might replace the display some day too."

  1. I feel that the Evolver is such an awesome synth! Synths went through this era in the 90's and early 2000's where they looked like stupid raver-esque/children toys with bad design. I am glad that that period is over!!!

    1. Agreed! I loooove the Evolver so much. That's the reason I changed it's looks, hehe.
One of my main weapons and I do have some synths to choose from.

Sweet job, I feel inspired to mod my scruffy Juno 60 now.
