This sad news in via Atomic Shadow who was a friend of Joseph Provede.

"I just found out that my friend Joseph Provede has passed away. Joe was a unique individual and long time electronic music maker. This video (link below) is from 1982. Joe is the one on the left with the Arp Odessey. He was the keyboard player in Jayne County's band for many years."

You can read more about Joseph Provede at http://www.sinatraundead.com/jpbio.htm

Video description via YouTube:
"The LightWave ensemble recorded live on WTC-TV 1982 at William Paterson College Wayne, NJ.

Originally this was 30 minutes long but, I had to edit it down to 10 minutes to fufill YouTube's time limitations.

Also, Sorry for the crappy quality as it was recorded on 3/4" UMatic Vdeo tape then transferred to VHS...

Another in the series: JP VIDEO BEGINNINGS.

the LightWave ensemble.are:
Joseph Provede (JP VIDEO): Arp Odyssey synthesizer
Chaz Capro: Sequential Circuits Pro One synthersizer and vocals
Robert Campbell: Crumar String Thing, Rhythm box and Moog synthesizer"

  1. This is sad to hear. i was the one who bought his ARP Odyssey about a year and a half ago.back then it looked like he's selling all his old gear off ebay. he sent me the synth with the case showed in the video and one of his first 7" records (JP VIDEO-Given it all back ), he wrote a personal message on the back of the single: "i hope you enjoy this music as much as i did creating it" ... his Ody needed some service and sliders replacement. it took me some time to restore it and calibrated it to a new condition. RIP Joseph Provede.
