Dionysus Weeping by Beat Frequency - experimental theremin music with effects

Published on May 7, 2013 Gordon Charlton·47 videos

"Dionysus had been slighted by a mortal and vowed to slay the next one he saw with vicious tigers that he created for the purpose. The next mortal he saw was a beautiful young woman, Amethystos, who was on her way to pay tribute to Artemis. The tigers pounced, Amethystos cried out for help and in response Artemis transformed her into a statue of pure quartz to protect her from the tigers' claws. When Dionysus saw the statue's crystalline beauty he wept with remorse and his falling tears stained it the colour of wine.

Two track recording made using a Lost Volts LV3 theremin going into an iPad mini (via an iRig Stomp) running the Vocalive app - two tracks, one with pitch fix (C Major) chorus (three voices at a fourth, a sixth and an octave down,) delay, reverb to make the drone backing, then on top of that the same setup without the chorus."
