The Shbobo Shnth - a New Brand and Synth by Ciat-Lonbarde's Peter Blasser

Update: The Shbobo shnth is latest instrument design from Peter Blasser of ciat-lonbarde.  Shbobo is a new brand from Peter Blasser that will showcase his digital creations.

"A little explanation of this patch: it uses the four bars to trigger four horses (asymmetric triangle-wave oscillators). since each horse has 4 parameters that can be dynamically modulated, the 4 yellow buttons are used to switch these modulations on and off. the modulations are:

a) FM the uprate of this oscillator by the previous oscillator; control the amt of modulation w/ the left antenna
b) modulate the down rate of this oscillator by itself on the press of its bar
c) modulate the upper bound of the oscillator by the next oscillator; control the amount of modulation with the right antenna
d) modulate the lower bound of this oscillator by the oscillator two over on release of its bar

the white buttons are used to retune the pitches of the oscillators ala the analog scrolls of the sidrassi, but that wasn't used here. video credit to my daughter marina!"

"The Shnth, by Shbobo, is a computer music device that features the ARM Cortex M3 32 bit processor. It connects to host computer via USB, wherein the host computer (windows, linux, or macintosh) may read its "squish data" and create graphics and sound. Or, the Shnth itself is a standalone synthesizer, which may be programmed by host in the new language, "Shlisp", by Shbobo. It is potentially self powered, by batteries, which are charged, again, via USB. A switch turns it on, and 16 bit sound comes out a standard stereo 3.5mm jack. Like a laptop; it is "handtop". Four bars on top feel your fingers and two woven antennae below sense flesh, complimented by a battery of buttons. There are red lights."
