"Modular synthesizer recording.

I'm using LMSO with the Mutable Instruments CVPal midi interface. Little Miss Scale Oven (LMSO) is a tuning program which runs between the midi keyboard and midi interface for the modular. The tuning scale was created by X.J.Scott in 1999 and is 162.98 cET - 7/3 - div 9.

Mr. Scott's description goes as follows...

(The scale is) nice because it hits so many 13-limit intervals but misses the octave as far as possible. Also, the complex intervals are less 'out-of-ratio' than the simple ones (which can tolerate a wider detuning while maintaining their class distinction).

The ribbon controller is to the modular as well. All sounds are from the modular synthesizer and only a TC Electronic D-Two and Lexicon MX200 are outside effects. The radio sounds are run through a ring modulator with an oscillator as carrier and tuning voltage from the Make Noise Pressure Points."
