09/2014 - Oberheim Matrix 6 edited in realtime with the Stereoping Synth Controller

Note this requires OS 2.13 or greater on the Matrix-6.

"Demo for my Synth Controller 1006R-Edition showing realtime tweaking of an Oberheim Matrix 6 which is commonly thought to be even worse to remote edit than the Matrix 1000. Apart from some minor timing lags it works quite well - no crashing Matrix and not even one hanging note.
The video itself is not the best: distorted sound, musically boring, bad playing, autofocus not disabled ... even no interesting content: just button pressing and knob turning. But nevertheless the vid proofes how well the Matrix and the Synth Controller work together.
At the very beginning, i demonstrate how to set the Matrix 6 for responing to Midi Controller Change Nr. 7 (Volume).
First half shows editing while realtime playing on the keyboard (well, if one can consider this 'playing'... sorry, i can't better ...)
Second half of the video demonstrates some classical music with many fast midinotes fired by a sequencer and merged with the knob tweaks to be sent to the Matrix all together.
The Controller seen in the video still has a protoype inkjet frontpanel. Firmware is the same as in the final product you can purchase on my site. Hope you find it interesting, thanks for watching."
